Truck crashes, rolls over on Interstate 17 in north Phoenix

PHOENIX – A truck rollover blocked traffic on a major Phoenix-area freeway during Thursday morning rush hour, causing delays.

The accident on northbound Interstate 17 near Bell Road spread across two lanes, starting around 5:40 a.m., but drivers were able to get around the damaged vehicle by taking the left lanes.

Officials at the Arizona Department of Transportation said delays were expected but didn’t estimate how far behind commuters would be.

No other details were immediately available.
