Police in 2 Phoenix suburbs reunite children found alone with families

PHOENIX — Police in two Valley suburbs reunited children found alone with their families Wednesday in unrelated incidents.

One toddler was found around 9:30 a.m. near 167th Avenue and Fillmore Street in Goodyear, according to police.

They said the child is an African American male. He is 1-2 years old, 25-30 pounds and 2 1/2 feet tall.

Around 2:30 p.m., Goodyear police said the boy’s family had been located.

Another child was found alone near Val Vista Drive and Elliot Road in Gilbert, police said around 12:30 p.m.

They said he was reunited with his family about an hour later.
