3-year-old girl pronounced dead after being found in Queen Creek pool

PHOENIX — A 3-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a pool in Queen Creek on Friday night, authorities said.

Deputies on the scene attempted life-saving measures on the scene until the child was transported by helicopter to Banner Cardon Children’s Medical Hospital in Mesa.

Despite continued life saving measures, the child was pronounced dead at the hospital.

MCSO detectives have begun an investigation into the incident.
