Phoenix Pride Festival returns this weekend with concerts, parade

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Pride Festival returns Saturday with concerts and a parade planned for the weekend.

The festival, a celebration of the LGBTQ community, will be held at Steele Indian School Park from noon to 9 p.m. both days.

Two-day tickets cost $40 while one-day tickets cost $25. Tickets for kids under 12 are free while seniors and children ages 13 to 17 can get in for $15.

Both days will be filled with musical performances, with JoJo headlining Saturday and Taylor Dayne on Sunday.

The parade kicks off Sunday at 10 a.m. on Third Street at Thomas Road and ends at Third Street and Indian School Road.

Two thousand people are expected to participate in the parade in front of more than 15,000 spectators.

The parade raises funds for Phoenix Pride and the Pride Community Grants and Scholarships Programs.
