ISM Raceway offers Segway tours, including laps around the track

PHOENIX – Do you dream of taking a spin around a NASCAR track, but speed isn’t your thing?

If so, ISM Raceway in Avondale has you covered this spring with Segway tours that include a lap around the 1-mile oval track.

The two-hour tours will be conducted by iLean Ride Co. starting Thursday and running through May 15. Reservations can be made online.

Tours on the two-wheel Segways run $89 per person. Riders must be at least 10 years old.

People seeking a more laid-back experience can explore the venue formerly known as Phoenix International Raceway in a limousine golf cart for $39 a pop.

In addition to circling the track, the vehicles will cruise through the garages and pit row and stop in victory lane for celebratory photos.

Guests also will get a behind-the-scenes look at the suite level and the area where NASCAR officials observe races.

ISM Raceway, which underwent a $178 million renovation that was completed last year, holds two NASCAR events a year and in 2020 will host NASCAR Championship Weekend for the first time.
