A Silver Alert was canceled Thursday afternoon after a 17-year-old boy with autism who was missing in Phoenix was found safe.

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Thursday afternoon after a 17-year-old boy with autism who was missing in Phoenix was found safe.
Phoenix police said Dekarion Butler was located just after noon on Thursday, about four hours after the alert was initially activated.

Butler was last seen on foot in the area of 34th and Campbell avenues in Phoenix around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Sgt. Vince Lewis said he was found at a Burger King near 51st and Olive avenues after an anonymous person reported seeing him in the area.
Butler will be reunited with family soon, Lewis added.
He is not verbal. Butler was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and blue sneakers.
Butler was described as a 5-foot, 11-inch tall African-American male with black hair and brown eyes.
