PHOENIX — AAA is offering safe ride services across the state this holiday season for those who enjoy one too many glasses of egg nog.
Beginning at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and ending at 6 a.m. on Christmas, anyone can call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (800) AAA-HELP in Arizona if you don’t feel sober enough to drive home.
The program is called Tipsy Tow and you do not need to be a AAA member to utilize the service.
“We offer this program multiple times throughout year and it typically coincides with periods that involve celebrations with friends and families,” AAA spokeswoman Michelle Donati said. “Often times those celebrations involve alcohol.”
The company suggests planning ahead for cab rides or to stay at a friends house before holiday celebrations take place.
Safe ride services are also offering the service on New Year’s from 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 6 a.m. on Jan. 1.
