Wrong-way driver crashes into another car on Interstate 10 near Phoenix

PHOENIX — At least one person was injured in a wrong-way crash that closed Interstate 10 for hours Sunday night, authorities said.
The accident backed up traffic in eastbound lanes for about a mile, the Arizona Department of Transportation said, starting shortly after 7 p.m.
ABC15 reported the wrong-way driver was hurt. but his or her condition wasn’t made available.
REMINDER: I-10 remains closed at Queen Creek due to a crash. All traffic must exit and the re-enter using the on-ramp. Backup is approximately 1 mile. Alternate routes include L-202 to SR 87/Arizona Avenue to Riggs Road or to SR 587 to re-enter I-10. pic.twitter.com/Z8kKWyqCBH

The lanes were reopened around 11:30 p.m.
