Hey, Soul Sister: San Francisco rock band Train will play Phoenix in June

PHOENIX — San Francisco rock band Train plans to bring its summer 2019 tour to Phoenix.

The band will play June 12 at the Ak-Chin Pavilion with the Goo Goo Dolls and Allen Stone.

Train, formed in 1993, is known for its hits “Drops of Jupiter,” “Meet Virginia,” “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Marry Me.”

The band’s album of its 16 greatest hits was released Friday.

For those who can’t make the Phoenix date, the band has four stops planned in California.

The tour starts June 7 in Auburn, Washington, and will end on Aug. 17 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale Monday. Interested Train fans can sign up for the mailing list on the band’s website to receive the pre-sale code.

General tickets sales start Nov. 16.
