PHOENIX — An Arizona woman accused of burglarizing a mosque in Tempe as her and a second woman filmed themselves making derogatory comments about Muslims pleaded guilty in connection to the incident.

Elizabeth Dauenhauer pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal damage on Thursday, Superior Court of Arizona spokesman Bryan Bouchard said in an email. She was set to be sentenced on Nov. 8.

Dauenhauer and Tahnee Gonzales were arrested earlier this year after a Facebook video of them uttering anti-Muslim vitriol while removing flyers and brochures from the Islamic Community Center near Mill Avenue and University Drive went viral.

The video was posted on Facebook on March 4 but was later removed. Snippets (WARNING: LINK CONTAINS FOUL LANGUAGE) of it were reposted by others on the social media site.

Videos that were publicly available showed the women and their children mocking the contents of a van parked outside of the Islamic Community Center. The pair, along with their children, were heard mocking items found in the van, which was labeled “ICC Funeral Procession.”

Gonzales had previously pleaded not guilty to charges of burglary and aggravated criminal damage. She will appear in court next on Nov. 1 for a pretrial conference.
