PHOENIX — Mountainside Fitness will open its 17th location in Old Town Scottsdale on Nov. 5, the gym announced Thursday.

The 5,500-square-foot fitness center will replace the Fit Republic near the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall and the Scottsdale Waterfront.

This location won’t be open to all Mountainside Fitness members, though — only those who are part of the Executive Club may access this exclusive center.

There are 90,000 active Moutainside members in the Phoenix metropolitan area, according to a news release.

The fitness center will offer strength and cardio equipment, personalized entertainment systems on some machines, free towel service and access to personal training and a free fitness consultation.

“This new location is right in the heart of Scottsdale and offers an ideal blend of business, attractions and urban living for new members,” Tom Hatten, founder and CEO of Mountainside Fitness, said in a news release.

“We are thrilled to be opening our 17th location at the Scottsdale Waterfront, and for the first time to vary our concept and offer a more intimate work-out environment with a limited number of memberships, catering to people who live, work and play in the area.”
