PHOENIX — Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer became the latest public figure to go a round with Sacha Baron Cohen and she ended up discussing gun control and ethnic cleansing with a toy.

The episode of “Who Is America?” aired Sunday night.

Cohen, disguised as Finnish “celebrity” OMGWhizzBoyOMG, was speaking for a toy named Fizzy Fireworks, and told Brewer, “I do not know how to tie my shoelaces but, please, can I have a semi-automatic gun? I think I would be very good at shooting people.”

Brewer said, “A certain kind of machine gun you can.”

She then asked the toy how old it was. Fizzy answered 21 but added he had the mental age of a 3-year-old.

“But the majority of people aren’t mentally ill,” Brewer said. “And they’re not running around.”

That was when Cohen’s toy brought up ethnic cleansing.

In the segment, Fizzy said he wasn’t mentally ill, only wanted to ethnically cleanse all the limited-edition Shopkins toys and asked if he could still buy a gun.

“That’s crazy,” Brewer said, but added he could buy a machine gun.

In an interview with KTAR News 92.3 FM’s Mac and Gaydos, Brewer said she thought it was “pretty obvious that they cut and pasted” in the final edits of the show, but said she was proud of her answers.

“If that’s all they got out of me, then good for Jan Brewer!” she said.

Brewer was governor from 2009 to 2015.

Cohen has tapped Arizona three times for his pranks.

He got former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio to talk to the toys about guns, too, as the same character. That episode aired earlier this month.

In July, the show aired an episode recorded in Kingman last year.

Cohen visited the town, where some residents at a community meeting made racist and anti-Muslim comments after his character informed them he was going to build a huge mosque there.
