Scottsdale Polo Championships announces 2018 music performances

PHOENIX — With a quartet showcasing Mozart, an Arizona jazz musician and the Phoenix Boys Choir in tow, the 2018 Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships will feature a collection of classy music.

On Nov. 10 and 11, the polo show will feature The Phoenix Symphony playing Mozart, the Phoenix Theatre (Broadway), The Phoenix Opera, Arizonan jazz musician Doc Jones, Ford Dudley on the bagpipes and the Phoenix Boys Choir.

The Bentley Polo Championships is an annual event held at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Fans dress up, wear big hats and enjoy a polo match while walking around booths and Ferraris.

Music is prevalent around the facility. Does classical not suit you? No problem. Isaiah Acosta, the “World’s First Mute Rapper,” will perform alongside Traphouse on Saturday. Additionally, DJs will play in party tents around the grounds.

Outside the music performances, attractions include the Apex Cup car show, the first “World’s Farthest Rugby Sevens Match” with ASU’s rugby team, a fashion gallery and the Arizona Humane Society dog fashion show.

The polo match itself, played riding horses, at times takes a backseat to the events around WestWorld.
