Silver Alert canceled for missing 74-year-old Mesa man

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert has been canceled for a 74-year-old Mesa man who went missing Saturday afternoon after authorities located the individual.

On Sunday, Jose Angel Aguayo was found in good health at a Shell gas station at Country Club Drive and McDowell Road.

He was released to his family.

Around 2 p.m. Saturday, Aguayo left his home to pick up pizza at Mesa Drive and Brown Road in Mesa, police said. He was not been seen or heard from after picking it up.

Aguayo suffers from dementia and has high blood pressure.

He was driving a 2008 Mercury Marquis with an Arizona license plate numbered MRF851 when he was last seen.

Aguayo, who is six feet tall and 200 pounds, is Hispanic with white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light brown shirt and brown pants.

Anyone with any information about his whereabouts, were urged to contact the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211.
