Family-friendly destinations centered around vibrant landscapes and diverse culture have been hallmarks of the tourism industry in Arizona.

Two destinations that embody those hallmarks have been ranked on a list of 25 Coolest Family Vacation Spots in the U.S. by gobankingrates.com.

Ranked third on the list is the majestic Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon National Park is the definition of vibrant landscapes as it flanks the winding Colorado River. The 277-mile long, one-mile-deep canyon inspires both children and adults alike.

Despite regular large crowds that can make the top sight-seeing parts of the park hard to get to, the experience is worth it, according to the site description.

For outdoor enthusiasts, camp sites start at $18 a night.

Coming in slightly lower at number 10 is the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.

A mixture of 13,000 different musical instruments on display from 200 countries and territories around the world accentuates the importance of music in all different cultures throughout the world.

Some of the most famous instruments include Eric Clapton’s guitar and a piano used by John Lennon of The Beatles.

Regular live performances and wireless headsets to listen to instruments played throughout the museum keeps parents and children entertained through the entire experience.
