SR 260 open after being closed both directions near Payson

State Route 260 was opened late Friday night after being closed east of Payson due to a crash, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Earlier, both lanes of traffic were later opened, but using only the westbound lane to get by. The eastbound lane remained blocked until both lanes were opened up later in the night.
Long delays were still present around 11:00 p.m.
The closure was at milepost 258. Motorists are encouraged to take a different route.
