PHOENIX — Just days after Chase Bank credited a $1.5 trillion tax overhaul that was signed into law last month with the company’s ability to raise wages for workers in Arizona, another company announced that it would do the same.

The Home Depot will give hourly associates bonuses that will range anywhere from $200 to $1,000 — depending on how long the employee has been with the company.

Ryan Harrigan, a spokesman with the Atlanta-based home-improvement retailer, said the company will also soon go on its annual hiring spree and is looking to hire about 1,500 workers, including 70 warehouse workers in Tolleson.

Harrigan added that about half of the company’s temporary spring hires typically turn into permanent positions.
