Three new types of specialty plates available for Arizona drivers

PHOENIX — Three new specialty license plate options are available to Arizona drivers for an extra cost and proceeds from the plates will go to charitable causes.

The new plates were made available at ServiceArizona.com and commemorate Luke Air Force Base, the Science Center and Barrett-Jackson. Each plate has its own designated charity.

Proceeds from the Luke Air Force Base plates will got to the Fighter Country Foundation geared to building morale and well-being at the base.

The Science Center plate will help fund science education programs throughout Arizona and the Barrett-Jackson plate will be used  to benefit the Driven Hearts initiative for the American Heart Association.

ServiceArizona.com is also issuing two current specialty plates for motorcycle owners. The Route 66 and First Responder plates have been made to fit motorcycle bikes as well as regular cars.

The website offers 67 different types of specialty plates including plates of all four major sports teams. Plates are specifically designated for vehicles, trailers or motorcycles and some can only be purchased by mail.
