PHOENIX — With 2017 coming to a close, websites have been compiling the best — and in this case the worst — things of the year.

Time.com went through all the songs of 2017 and compiled a list of the top 10 worst songs of the year.

Here they are in order from not so bad to downright terrible.

10. The Chainsmokers, “Paris”

After a succesfful hit in “Closer” in 2016, the Chainsmokers went back to the drawing board, coming up with “Paris.” After going with a city like Tucson in the 2016 hit, the duo went overseas, including the French city.

9. Katy Perry, “Bon Appetit”

Dubbed the fast-food of pop songs by Time.com, Perry’s “Bon Appetit” features the similar sounds that music fans have grown accustomed to hearing from the pop singer.

8. Liam Payne, “Strip That Down”

With One Direction going their own separate ways, Payne is trying to find his niche in the music industry. While the other members have gone on and done some pretty big things, like releasing a duet with Taylor Swift or appearing in “Dunkirk,” Payne is letting everyone know he is finally free from One Direction.

7. Ed Sheeran “Galway Girl”

Sheeran went full Irish band in “Galway Girl” and while the song has gotten a lot of clicks, it may be due to the surrounding question of who the Galway girl really is?

6. Imagine Dragons, “Thunder”

Imagine Dragons have been a household name for a few years now. There latest hit “Thunder” has garnered a lot of listens, but also a lot of drawback. The biggest would have be the repitivieness of it all. The words “lightening” and “thunder” seem like they make up most the song by themselves.

5. Iggy Azalea, “Mo Bounce”

It’s been a long time since Azalea was running the airwaves with “I’m So Fancy.” One of her 2017 hits may have taken some tips from Imagine Dragon’s “Thunder” in the repetitive department. The word “bounce” is used over and over — and over — again.

4. Fall Out Boy, “Young and Menace”

If you were thinking “yes, classic Fall Out Boy” then you may be disappointed with this 2017 song. It had been two years since the band released a single and it seemed like they were trying to make up for lost time with the added sounds of dubstep throughout the song.

3. Sam Hunt, “Body Like a Back Road”

Hunt’s “Body Like a Back Road” has that traveling sound to it, but “doing fifteen in a thirty” might take awhile to get to where you want to go.

2. Jason Derulo feat. Nicki Minaj, “Swalla”

Derulo and Minaj did a reunion collaboration after “Bottoms Up,” but looking at the ranking, it seems they may have missed their mark on this one.

1. Post Malone, “Rockstar”

This may come as a bit of a surprise, but the No. 1 worst song of 2017 also holds the title of No. 1 best song on the Hot 100. Malone throws it back to the rockstar lifestyle, while 21 Savage keeps his range to a minimum with his monotone lyrics.
