Investigation Discovery to air Jodi Arias mini-series next month

PHOENIX — Looking for something bone-chilling and bizarre to watch?

Next month, Investigation Discovery will likely have your fix.

The channel will air a three-part mini-series Jodi Arias: An American Murder Mystery which starts at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14.

The show features all-new exclusive interviews with key players.

In 2008, Arias was convicted of murdering her lover, Travis Alexander, in Mesa.  Her 2013 trial became a media circus as details of their relationship and the violent crime scene emerged. The courtroom saga was broadcast live and spectators traveled to Phoenix to line up to get a seat in the courtroom.

In a teaser, Arias is shown in an interview room talking to authorities. The man could be heard saying Arias needs to “tell the truth” about the incident. Arias responded, “There’s no reason I would ever want to hurt him.”

In another scene, Arias calmly explained the evidence found didn’t mean she killed anyone.

“The evidence is very compelling,” Arias said in the video clip. “And none of it proves I committed a murder.”

A judge gave Arias a prison sentence of life behind bars.
