PHOENIX — Arizona State University will usher in a new class of college graduates with a series of 28 graduation ceremonies over a period of 12 days.

More than 7,600 students — 7,671 total — will graduate as part of the university’s fall 2017 graduating class, according to ASU Now.

Of those graduates, 5,576 are undergrads and 2,095 are graduate and doctoral students.

The university said this fall’s graduating class is larger than last year’s by more than 600 students.

A majority of the graduates this fall are women: Both the undergraduate and graduate classes are made up of 52 percent women.

Arizonans have also made up a majority of the undergraduate class, with 59.3 percent of graduates hailing from the state. That number dropped to 36 percent for advanced degrees, however.

We want to hear from you.
