PHOENIX — Respected consumer technology expert Kim Komando will be joining the KTAR News 92.3 FM lineup starting Sunday, the Bonneville Inc. Phoenix station announced Tuesday.

Komando’s popular nationally syndicated show will air weekly from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays and the woman known as “America’s Digital Goddess” will also share her consumer tech updates on Arizona’s Morning News each day at 6:17 a.m.

“I am so excited. This is awesome,” the Valley columnist and author told the show after the announcement.

Komando, who graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in computer science information, launched her website in the mid-1990s.

“It’s exciting,” Ryan Hatch, vice president of content and operations for Bonneville Phoenix, said. “(Kim) provides unique content about today’s digital lifestyle.”

The show, she said, “is not a fix-it show, we don’t talk about how to get this computer to work. It’s about how to make money, how to protect privacy,” although there will be tips on tech trends.

She is married to Barry Young, another well-known Valley radio personality.
