The president of the United States, a protesting football player, an internet CEO and the leader of North Korea were all in the running to be Time magazine’s annual Person of the Year, it was announced Monday.

President Donald Trump earned the title last year just weeks after his surprising win in the general election.

NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, whose kneeling during the playing of the national anthem sparked outrage but also support, was selected, as was Robert Mueller, who has led an investigation into possible Russian interference in last year’s U.S. presidential election.

The magazine picked eight individuals and one group and one movement.

Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un joined the group, as did undocumented young immigrants commonly called “Dreamers,” (after the proposed Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act. The group as a whole was chosen, which would include the many children of immigrants who live in Arizona.

The #Metoo movement, which has sprung up in the wake of recent sexual misconduct allegations made against celebrities, politicians and newsmen alike, also earned a spot.

Previous winners beside Trump include Winston Churchill, Richard Nixon, Rudy Giuliani, Mark Zuckerberg, Pope Francis and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The winner will be announced Wednesday morning.
