What is the most popular Halloween candy in Arizona?

PHOENIX — Are you a big fan of the candy Snickers? If so, then you’re most likely from Arizona.

According to CandyStore.com, Snickers was ranked as the most popular candy in the state.

So don’t be surprised if trick-or-treaters snatch up all your Snickers bars on Halloween night.

But that wasn’t all: The next two most popular candies in Arizona came to be Hershey’s Kisses and Hot Tamales.

The website — which represents a bulk candy supplier that has close relationships with other major candy manufacturers and distributors — found that 904,633 pounds of Snickers were shipped to Arizona since 2007.

In comparison, 817,463 pounds of Kisses were shipped to the state, while 527,843 pounds of Hot Tamales were delivered to Arizona.

But Arizona isn’t the only state with major chocolate-caramel candy lovers: New Hampshire, Oklahoma and Virginia all had Snickers as their favorite candies as well.

For those who are curious, the National Retail Federation estimated that shoppers will spend $2.7 billion — that’s right, billion with a B — on Halloween candy this year.

That’s a lot of Snickers bars.
