Red-light runner killed in wreck near northwest Phoenix
One person died and three others were hospitalized in serious condition after a driver ran a red light at a West Valley intersection.

PHOENIX — One person died and three others were hospitalized in serious condition after a driver ran a red light at a West Valley intersection.
Authorities said the red-light runner at Dysart and Cactus roads in El Mirage smashed into another car late Thursday. The driver, a 20-year-old man, was killed.
The driver of the second car was injured as were two passengers in the car that ran the red light.
The intersection was closed in each direction for hours. The accident was cleared around 5:30 a.m.
