Main Street Minute: Peoria theater renovating to add more space
A musical theater venue in the West Valley is undergoing renovations and a couple of jobs were on tap Thursday in metro Phoenix.

• Arizona Broadway Theatre in Peoria is expanding. The theater has announced plans to renovate its 1,000-square-foot multipurpose Encore room into a 3,500-square-foot high-tech multimedia performance, banquet and conference space. The project should wrap up early next year.
• The Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale is shelling out over $1 million on renovations. The Phoenix Business Journal reports the 46-room Tower is getting new lighting, flooring and decor. The face lift is slated for completion next month.
• A pair of job fairs were scheduled Thursday. From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., potential candidates can interview for jobs in transportation, design and website security at the Radisson Hotel Phoenix North near Interstate 17 and Peoria Avenue. The city of Avondale is hosting a hiring event from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Employers including Abrazo Health, Avondale and Amazon will be on hand at City Hall near Avondale Boulevard and Van Buren Street.
