PHOENIX — President Donald Trump’s motorcade drove to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Wednesday morning, snarling traffic in the process.
Freeways across the Phoenix area were backed up for miles after the motorcade made its way from Paradise Valley to the airport.
A Twitter feed that tracks unusual traffic patterns in the Valley said the trouble began about 8:20 a.m., about when the motorcade left the Omni Montelucia Resort and Spa, located near Tatum Boulevard and Lincoln Drive.
State Route 51 was snarled because of the motorcade, which added more than 30 minutes to some people’s drive.

Trump held a rally at the Phoenix Convention Center on Tuesday night. He spoke about the media, Arizona’s two senators with whom the president has feuded and hinted he planned to pardon former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The presidential rally inspired a large protest in downtown Phoenix that continued for hours after Trump wrapped his speech just after 8 p.m.
Police deployed teargas and flashbangs to break up the crowds. Four protest-related arrests were made.
Trump was scheduled to leave the Valley at 8:45 a.m., but ran a couple of minutes late.
Maybe it was the traffic.

Wow... First President to ever do that!
Are you referring to his bloated "whistleblower protection" office? Or are you referring to the bills that were passed by the House and Senate and then signed by Trumptard? I think you need a refresher in how laws are made. Lol
I think having yet MORE government and MORE bloated salaries for an office to cut "some" people is a bit cumbersome. Some would say it sounds like that familiar "big government" mentality at work. Must be that new-age Repug definition of "conservatism" rubes gobble up. Lol
But hey, if Trumptard tweets he's doing fantastic things, you'll believe it regardless of anything else.
Obama cared about Veterans, but not enough. Trump is already blowing up the VA hospital to cull out the "entitled" do-nothings that suck the taxpayer teat and hide behind their liberal protections. The media isn't covering that very much, of course, because it's a very good thing.
