PHOENIX — A Tempe tattoo parlor said it will host a benefit for Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, who took his own life earlier this month.

Club Tattoo — which Bennington partly owned — said the benefit would be hosted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at its shop near Rural Road and University Drive.

During the benefit, the parlor will have a notebook for fans to write in that will be delivered to Bennington’s family, who have a home in Gilbert.

Bennington was survived by his wife, Talinda Ann Bentley, and his six children from two marriages.

Donations will also be accepted for the One More Light Fund.

People looking for a permanent reminder of Linkin Park or Bennington can get tattoos for $60 all day Sunday. Those who were interested were asked to call 480-774-2582 or email tempe@clubtattoo.com.

Attendees were encouraged to take public transportation, as Club Tattoo’s parking lot is relatively small.

Bennington had struggled with drugs and alcohol from a young age. He also had talked about committing suicide in the past because of alleged abuse he suffered as a child.

Linkin Park was on tour when Bennington died. The band was scheduled to play at Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix on Aug. 30, but that show was canceled.

Bennington was born and raised in the Phoenix area. He attended Centennial High School in Peoria before making it big in the music world.

If anyone is looking for an example of uninformed and lazy. Here you go.

You obviously didn't read past the headline did you? Maybe try that and you'll realize how stupid your comment is.

Or, just stay stupid. That is your choice.

Drugs-the victimless crime, and alcohol is the most popular legal drug of all. What can go wrong? I feel badly for the wide and children, but maybe they will look at this and make good personal choices because of it. Like I said, I feel badly, but I will pass on the tattoo.
