PHOENIX — Overnight drivers in Phoenix who plan on connecting to Interstate 17 from Interstate 10 should plan on using a different route.

In a press release, the Arizona Department of Transportation said the ramps from I-10 to I-17 would be shut down for the painting of fresh lane stripes and other pavement markings.

The ramps from westbound I-10 to both the north- and southbound I-17 were scheduled to closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.

Drivers should consider exiting at either 19th or 35th avenues and using city streets to get to I-17.

On Thursday night, the ramps from east- and westbound I-10 to southbound I-17 were scheduled to be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday.

Drivers were told to exit before the stack and use city streets to reach southbound I-17.

We want to hear from you.
