PHOENIX — A fire department crew had to rescue a woman in a harness left dangling on the Arizona side of the border fence with Mexico by suspected human smugglers.
Border Patrol agents found the woman on the fence Saturday.
Authorities said the 37-year-old woman was being lowered on a rope into Arizona by two men standing on the other side of the international barrier.
Agents on duty for the Tucson Sector near Nogales said as they got closer to the three, the woman, who was in a harness, tried to climb back over but couldn’t.
The men ran off, leaving her swaying 15 feet above the ground.
A crew from the Nogales Fire Department brought her down to safety. She was uninjured.
Customs and Border Protection arrested the woman for immigration violations.

good thing border patrol was there to save the woman otherwise the human smugglers would have let her continue her dangerous journey the wrong way facing deadly wildlife, extreme heat with little to no water. but the democrats and immigration advocates support this inhumane treatment of good honest people. this is why they have sanctuary cities as a reward for any illegal immigrant who can survive the harsh deserts, extreme heat, dangerous wildlife and I bet those human smugglers sexually/physically/mentally abuse her before helping her over the fence. . show you care and help them cross the RIGHT way. why is that so difficult?
Cowards ran off to leave the women to fend for herself. Just the kind of people we need to add to the gene pool. Lawbreakers / cheats with a stripe of cowardice.
Who says the fence doesn't work. It did that time.
I wonder, if you hit her with a stick, will candy fall out?
