News anchor gives up, tosses papers behind his back on live TV
Sometimes, it's just a tough day at the office. That was the case for this news reporter who had had just about enough of some technical difficulties.
Sometimes, it’s just a tough day at the office.
That was the case for this news reporter who had had just about enough of his news station’s technical difficulties.
Doug Fernandez, an anchor for KOAT Channel 7 in Albuquerque, has been part of the station’s news team since 2002. But he recently went viral when, while he was anchoring live television, things didn’t go his way.
Fernandez tried to throw to a reporter who was live in the field, but the reporter didn’t show up on screen. Instead, it just stayed on Fernandez.
The veteran news anchor did what any good anchor might do — he just moved on to the next story. But then, while he was trying to talk, the cameras switched.
Then, they switched back to him again.
The double-take caught Fernandez throwing his papers in the air and walking off the set.
It was just one of those days.

They should promote the guy top station manager.
Just goes to show you even newscasters are human.
