Jun 13, 2017, 11:56 AM

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• A local nonprofit has launched a free kids drug cancer app. Scottsdale-based Purple Society has supplied information and pricing on more than 10,000 pediatric cancer drugs, as well as information about experimental drugs and clinical trials. The app is available on IOS and Android devices.

• Community Provider of Enrichment Services is holding a job fair Tuesday in Glendale. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Goodwill career center near 67th and Peoria avenues. Recruiters will be on site interviewing for direct-care site coordinators as well as lead support and direct-care providers.

• The West Valley has several more restaurant options. The Phoenix Business Journal reports Arrowhead Retail shops opened near 75th Avenue and Bell Road. The new center is home to Cafe Rio, Smashburger, Even Stevens Sandwiches, Mad Greens and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit.
