PHOENIX — Just making an appearance on a television show would be enough of a treat, but one Phoenix woman got to be a guest on a show and get surprised with $10,000 at the same time.

Deanna Kretchmer is a mother of three from Phoenix who lost her job of 16 years not long ago. She said she watches “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” every day, so when an inspirational man named Lewis Howes made an appearance, she wrote to the show explaining her situation in hopes of getting connected with him.

DeGeneres brought Howes back on and invited Kretchmer to join the show as well, getting a connection going for the Phoenix woman looking to start a health and fitness career.

After getting some advice from Howes, DeGeneres and Shutterfly surprised Kretchmer with a $10,000 check to help her launch a new career.

We want to hear from you.
