Main Street Minute: Phoenix job fair for nurses to offer signing bonuses

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• IASIS Health is holding a nursing career and family fair Saturday in Phoenix. It runs from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the company’s clinic near Third and Jefferson streets. Some positions will include $2,500 signing bonuses. There will also be brunch, refreshments and prizes during the family friendly event.

• Mountainside Fitness will hold a grand preview party for its Tempe site. The festivities run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the club near Rio Salado Parkway and Mill Avenue. Visitors can enjoy free food, entertainment and complimentary yoga and Zumba classes.

• Employees from Chase Bank will be helping to spruce up two Phoenix schools Saturday morning. Over 1,000 volunteers will be painting, organizing classrooms and planting gardens at Reyes Maria Ruiz Leadership Academy near Central Avenue and Roeser Road, and NFL Yet College Prep near Central Avenue and Baseline Road. Chase and the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation are each donating $15,000 in supplies.
