Ultra-violent ‘John Wick’ series gets the Nerf gun treatment

Mar 26, 2017, 8:54 AM

Were you turned off by the ultra-violent nature of the latest “John Wick” film? If so, the folks at Corridor Digital have a healthy alternative.

Here is how you tone down the violence: replace real guns with Nerf guns.

While it’s not a feature-length movie and it doesn’t star Keanu Reeves, the remake still features an up-tempo, frenetic pace in the action scenes, complete with the music to make your heart race throughout the violent gunfights.

The video parodies the plot of the second film, “John Wick: Chapter 2,” in which Wick, played by Reeves, is a retired hitman who has a bounty put on his head.

The team at Corridor does its best to play out the sequence of events in which Wick realizes the hit is on him. The video even features one of the signature moments in both films when Wick sorts through his different ammunition and weapons before the big fight breaks out.

Our own Bruce St. James gave the original “John Wick” a four out of five in his Movies in a Minute review.
