In a twist of epic proportions, FinnAir Flight 666 flew on Friday the 13th and landed in Helsinki, Finland — a city that has an airport code HEL.

I wish I was joking.

On what some call the unluckiest day of the year, a group of people decided to get on the unluckiest number airplane and fly to a place called HEL.

In an even weirder twist, the aircraft was 13-years-old and took off at 13:00 local time.

People on social media, as expected, had a field day with the not-so-lucky coincidence.

But luckily, Flight 666 landed safely in HEL after an hour-and-a-half flight — and even landed early.

Unfortunately, there will not be many more Friday the 13’s to fly on Flight 666 to HEL — A Twitter account with the handle @airlineroute said FinnAir is retiring Flight 666 due to a new number system starting Oct. 29.

The last opportunity to fly Flight 666 to HEL will be on Oct. 13. Would you board the flight to HEL?
