A sushi restaurant based in Tucson is expanding to the Valley and a food-services company is hiring for several positions.

• Aramark has more than three-dozen local job openings. The food-services company is hiring cooks, bartenders, warehouse associates, a food-services director and national sales director. Applications are being accepted online.
• The Phoenix Business Journal reports Tucson-based Obon Sushi Bar will open a spot near Scottsdale’s Kierland Commons in the spring.
• Home values are going up in metro Phoenix. According to S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller’s home report, housing prices in the Valley rose just under half a point in October, up from September. Overall, Phoenix has had more than a five-point jump this year compared to last.
