‘Star Wars’ characters taking over Phoenix’s ZooLights

PHOENIX — Are you feeling the force after seeing the latest “Star Wars” film? If so, ZooLights is the place for you for a one-night special event.

On Dec. 21, in front of the Phoenix Zoo’s Savanna exhibit, “Star Wars” characters will be taking holiday photos.

The characters will be at the zoo from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

In addition to seeing the Jedi and Sith visitors, guests can take in the regular ZooLights show.

New displays this year include 3-D alligators, candy canes and butterflies. The show has 13 LEGO sculptures along the trail and the Polar Slide — a 200-foot snow tubing slide with a 25-foot drop.

ZooLights will be available to see until Jan. 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
