Parents can still save money this holiday season

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, but there are still ways parents can save money this holiday season.

PHOENIX — Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, but there are still ways parents can save money this holiday season.

“One thing I never ever pay for is pictures with Santa,” said KTAR wallet watcher Alicia Markham, from Deals in AZ. “This is something that is free at Cabela’s, at Bass Pro Shops, at other places around town and they’ll actually give you the picture.”

One of the most important things parents can do is make a list of what you’re looking for.

“If you know exactly what your kids want, you’re not going to get roped into buying things they really don’t want,” Markham said.

Another tip is price tracker apps like CamelCamelCamel.

“You can see what an item has been priced at throughout history,” Markham said.

An example is if something was priced at $29.99 and now it’s $59.99, chances are it will be back down to $29.99 at some point.
