Main Street Minute: Empty lot to become site of Phoenix condos

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• More condos will be going up in downtown Phoenix. The Phoenix Business Journal reports construction on the Capitol Lofts could start early next year near Ninth Avenue and Washington Street. Prices for the lofts start at $165,000.

• There are plenty of high-paying jobs that need filling at a hiring event Thursday in Phoenix. The sales and professional job fair will run from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Phoenix Airport Marriott near 44th Street and McDowell Roads. Industries represented include solar, industrial, recruiting and consulting.

• A career fair is set Thursday in Mesa. It runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Windemere Hotel and Conference Center near Main Street and Recker Road.
