Cool video shows dust storm approaching downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX — Some different weather other than the usual sunshine Phoenix residents are used to began Tuesday.

As Tropical Storm Javier moved through Mexico and made its way into the Southwest, it brought some rain and dust, and at the very least, some ominous clouds into the Valley.

Dust storm advisories were announced in Maricopa County, but that didn’t stop someone in downtown Phoenix from capturing a cool video of the progression of one moving into the area.

The storm is likely to move completely out of the Phoenix area by Thursday, and another round of 100-degree days are expected for the weekend.
