Zoo babies: Check out the World Wildlife Zoo’s newest residents

PHOENIX — The World Wildlife Zoo in Litchfield Park has welcomed a few new baby animals into their park this summer that you don’t want to miss.

According to the facility’s director, Mickey Ollson, the zoo welcomes baby animals all year round and even the heat can’t keep the cuteness away.

Some of the zoo’s newest bundles of joy include baby jaguars, monkeys, warthogs, wildebeests and zebras.

Ollson suggests that anyone trying to see the zoo babies gets to the park at 9 a.m. right when it opens.

Currently, the baby jaguars, warthogs and river hogs are living in the zoo’s animal nursery, which is inside. All the other babies are living outside, learning to adjust to the Arizona heat and are most active when it’s cooler in the morning.

Ollson also said that when it warms up in the afternoon, zoo goers can beat the heat at the zoo’s indoor aquarium.
