Brew is back: SanTan Brewing Company to bring back Oktoberfest lager

PHOENIX — A local Arizona brewery is bringing back a beer that will make Valley residents want to grab their lederhosen and polka.

According to the Full Pint, the SanTan Brewing Company will bring back their seasonal Oktoberfest lager starting Aug. 1.

Originally created in 2008, it is Arizona’s longest running Oktoberfest brew.

In 2014, the brewery introduced the fall brew in cans, causing a 14 percent spike in Oktoberfest sales in Arizona.

This seasonal special is brewed in a malty, southwest style with a caramel and spice scent. The beer was designed to be paired with favorite fall foods and, of course, bratwurst, schnitzel and soft pretzels.
