Republican Sen. Ted Cruz spoke at the Republican National Convention Wednesday, and the main focus of those watching was if Cruz would endorse Donald Trump after running against him for the Republican nomination.

Everyone got their answer.

Cruz did not endorse Trump, urging people in his speech to “vote your conscience.”

And to those listening, please, don’t stay home in November. Stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution.

Some of those in the crowd seemed to realize the endorsement was never coming, and reports from those in attendance were the New York delegation began to chant, “We want Trump!”

The crowd began to join in.

Cruz appeared to try and let the noise dry out, but those efforts failed. As he arrived towards the end of his speech, the commotion grew and grew.

As Cruz was concluding, Trump walked into the hall during the speech.

When he ended his speech, Cruz was met with loud boos.

Trump tweeted out he was aware of what Cruz planned to say.

GOP officials were reportedly not happy.

Cruz was followed by Trump’s son, Eric Trump.

Hillary Clinton tweeted the same quote from Cruz later in the night.
