Inmates fight at Arizona prison, 4 hurt

PHOENIX — Part of an Arizona prison has been temporarily closed to visitors after a recent fight broke out between 50 inmates.
Officials said four prisoners suffered minor injuries during the clash at the Kingman facility on Saturday. The fighting lasted for a few minutes before guards restored order.
Last year, two days of rioting at the Kingman prison caused Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey to cut ties with the private company that ran the complex.
Corrections and Detention Acting Warden Robert Patton said the injured inmates returned to the Huachuca unit by the evening.
Although visitors won’t be allowed for the next few days, inmates can still make phone calls.
