Main Street Minute: Bashas’ celebrates store reopening with cake, giveaways

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday at 7:23 a.m.

• Bashas’ has kicked off a five-day party to celebrate the grand reopening of its Ahwatukee store at 48th Street and Warner Road. The festivities run through Sunday, and include free bags of groceries to the first 200 paying customers Saturday. The store opens at 6 a.m.

• Nesco is holding a job fair Wednesday in Tempe from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. near Rural and Baseline roads. Nesco is hiring for all positions, including clerical, warehouse and production.

• Saks Fifth Avenue’s Off Fifth will soon be opening in Scottsdale. It’s one of several new tenants set to open at The Promenade near Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.
