PHOENIX — A Phoenix college was put on lockdown briefly Monday while police searched for two possible shooting suspects.

Police were searching for the possible suspects near Grand Canyon University, which prompted a partial lockdown at the school.

Police said a man walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound about 11:30 a.m. and told workers he was shot near 22nd Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

GCU is located near Camelback Road and 35th Avenue.

Several calls were received at the same time of two men running with a gun in the same area.

Police did not locate either man and the lockdown was lifted after less than an hour.
