The Brewers Association released its list of the top 50 U.S. craft brewers and Tempe’s Four Peaks Brewing Co made the cut coming in at No. 49.

The non-profit trade group constructed the list based on 2015 beer sales volume. Out of the top 50 companies, 43 of them are considered “craft”, “independent” and “traditional”. Craft companies produce six million barrels of beer or less per year, independent companies are 75 percent owned by a craft brewer and traditional companies have at least 50 percent of its beer produced by traditional ingredients.

Four Peaks was bought out by Anheuser-Busch in December 2015, but it was reported that the purchase of the local brewing company will not affect how it does business. The expansion of the brewing company could help it continue it’s rise on the Brewers Association top 50 list in the future.
