Super Bowl a time for Arizonans to rejoice, show off

Arizona is a pretty great place to live.

The weather is awesome, there’s a lot to do and our food is pretty spectacular.

The organizers of Super Bowl XLIX want Arizonans to remember that during the buildup to the big game.

“It’s going to be a terrific time of year to rejoice in being from this state,” David Rousseau, chairman of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, said.

More than one million people are expected to visit Super Bowl Central, a 12-block pedestrian-only area of downtown Phoenix between CityScape and the Civic Center.

“Everything that’s great about Arizona will certainly be on display in the days and weeks leading up to Feb. 1,” Rousseau said.

The area will feature the NFL Experience — tickets are just $35 — and all the sponsors, networks and free concerts anyone can handle.

“If you have beer and free music, people come from far and wide,” Rousseau with a smile.
