11 people transported from University of Phoenix stadium, many due to heat illness

11 individuals have been transported from University of Phoenix Stadium by the Glendale Fire Department because of heat illness.

Glendale, Ariz. — 11 people have been transported from University of Phoenix Stadium by the Glendale Fire Department.

According to Glendale Fire, many of those patients are related to heat illnesses during record-breaking temperatures. Saturday was the hottest Aug. 15 in the history of Arizona.

None of the injuries are life-threatening and they were transported to local hospitals for further evaluation.
